Great Moments in Ravens History
September 14, 2003 - Ravens running back Jamal Lewis shatters the record for yards in a single game by lighting up the Browns for 295 in a 33-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns. His second carry of the game resulted in an 82-yard touchdown, and he added runs of 63 and 48 as well. Lewis achieved the record on 30 carries and scored twice. January 28, 2001 - The Ravens win the first Super Bowl in their five-year history by destroying the New York Giants, 34-7. The defense, which had set the record for fewest points allowed in a 16-game season, holds the Giants to only 152 yards of offense. See you at the game!

Ravens Team Notes:
The Baltimore Ravens started in 1996 when moving from Cleveland. Since then the Ravens have won a Super Bowl with one of the NFL's all time great defenses. The Ravens had trouble both offensively and defensively in 2002. They have beefed up their offense and defense this year with the signing of the former Cardinal WR Frank Sanders to duo with Brandon Stokley. The Ravens have also added Hall-of-Famer Mike Singletary as the linebacker's coach to compliment the Pro Bowl linebacker Ray Lewis.

Ravens Stadium Info:
The opening of the Baltimore Ravens brand new NFL football stadium at Camden Yards in Baltimore celebrates the completion of a vision that dates to the mid-1980s, a time when the leaders in Baltimore saw an opportunity to revitalize a declining urban neighborhood with the addition of a new, separate football stadium and ballpark. Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium is located within the south end of the Camden Yards complex, the world's premiere dual stadium complex. The stadium site is surrounded on all sides by elevated roadways, including I-95 and I-395 ramps (plus an extension of the Light Rail line) to the east, the Ostend Street Bridge to the south and the Russell Street viaduct to the west.

Baltimore Ravens Info and Links:
After an 11-year absence, pro football returned to Baltimore in 1996. The Ravens, a team that formerly played in Cleveland, Ohio, moved into Baltimore's Memorial Stadium and began to play in the 1996 season. "This is a new beginning and a new era for us," the Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell told fans at the team's naming ceremony. Side note- The name Ravens was inspired by the poetry of the famous former Baltimore resident Edgar Allan Poe. Purchase your Baltimore Ravens tickets today to be part of the excitement!
